The third largest island is Lopez, “the Friendly Isle”. At 15 miles long and 8 miles wide,it is the third most populated. A popular destination for bicyclists, Lopez is graced with open, gently rolling terrain. Lopez Village and nearby Fisherman Bay serve as the island’s commercial center, with the rest of the island a patchwork of second-growth forests and working farms that produce cattle, sheep, truck crops, and grapes for the island’s excellent winery.
